Candle-Hot Wax-Face-NOT GOOD!

My Easter Sunday ended quite sadly when I blew out a big fat candle a bit too close! It's ok, I'm fine. It was a bit of a shock though, and something I won't do again. I got a bit too close to the candle and didn't realise the wax would splash back at me - so all over my face it went!

Yes it hurt, but only for a short while, and fortunately all of my family were with me to splash lots of cold water on my face which really wasn't nice, but it helped and I luckily have no scars or burns.

My mum says I only ever learn the hard way, but if I tell you, hopefully you won't do the same, it could have been worse!

Never put talc in your hair!

Ok, So I had a blonde moment today. Went swimming, which I'd like to add is a personal favourite sport of mine, but never before have I thought of how I could possibly get my hair dry quicker before getting dressed. Of course, I use the hairdryer most of the time, but to save time and effort, I thought it would be just as quick to add a touch of talcum powder to my hair.

Should have thought twice.

Mum gasped in shock, my brother Alf laughed and at first I couldn't understand what was wrong. Until mum spent the next few minutes detangling my powder wet hair. Gross.

It's all fine now, we gave it a little rinse and dry - the normal way and it's back to it's bouncy self.
So just a word of warning 'Don't try this at home' it really doesn't work. Trust me.
